The subject for this project is a dancer to which 6 motion tracking devices are firmly attached. The success of this project will demand the collection of the data from the sensors, and a successful recreation of the motion in a 3D space in Unity
The explicit main goals of the project could be stated as the following:
As for the secondary goal, it was defined as the following :
The aim of this project is to develop a Web-based application to manage the different entities of the organization and their resources taking into consideration their dynamics and authorities. It will facilitate the saving and exchange of Human Resources data between three main users:
- The General Admin
- The Legal Representatives of the different companies
- The Human Resources Managers
More informationBobby, a therapeutic chatbot that offers music to improve the emotions and emotional states of individuals, was designed and implemented in this article. The preliminary results have shown a positive effect on the emotion strengthening, but no effect still on the emotion changing group.
More informationA norovirus outbreak happened in France and was caused by raw shellfish and oysters. Switzerland, Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands have all also reported outbreaks linked to live oysters from France. Symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting and incubation times, are consistent with norovirus or other enteric virus infections.
The number of people in France who have become ill after eating contaminated raw shellfish has jumped to more than 1,000. The outbreak has spurred international product recalls and many medias have talked about the Norovirus epidemic.
Social media services such as Twitter are valuable sources of information for surveillance systems. A digital syndromic surveillance system has several advantages including its ability to overcome the problem of time delay in traditional surveillance systems.
In this project, a Twitter-based data analysis system was developed to analyze the textual content of a set of tweets and see if there are any evidence of the Norovirus outbreak in France or Switzerland.
Master Course in Web Engineering I am currenty co-teacher with Prof. Omar Abou Khlaed and Pascal Felber at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. The main objective of the course is to lay the foundations for understanding the discipline of Web Engineering. It is divided into three main parts: 1) architecture design: paradigms & modeling approaches, 2) architecture development: frameworks & technologies, 3) reasoning web.
(2006 - Now) Joint Master UNIFR-UNINE-UNIBE, Switzerland
Master Course on Multimodal Processing, Recognition and Interaction – MPRI I am currenty co-teacher with Prof. Stefano Carrino and Prof. Omar Abou Khaled. The goal of this course is to train students to different Machine Learning techniques (NN, SVM, HMM, Random Forest, etc.) applied to different domains (health, security, interaction in smart environment, political elections). Theoretical lessons are combiend with practical exercices and a final « challenge » where the students have to develop the complete data processing pipeline (data preprocessing, feature extraction, classification and evaluation).
(2013 - Now) MSE HES-SO, Fribourg, Switzerland
Master Course on User Experience Design – UXD Theoretical lessons are combined with practical exercises and a mini-project where students carry out a complete DT process from the emphatize to the evaluate phase.
(2009 - Now) MSE HES-SO, Fribourg, Switzerland
Master Course on IT Project Management – MaPIT I am currenty co-teacher with Prof. Jean Hennebert. The goal of this course is to train students to the fundamental (processes, tools, techniques and areas of knowledge) needed to successfully manage IT projects. The course contains to main parts. The first one introduces the concept of PLC (Project LifeCycle) as well as the main PLC phases with the related tools and techniques (MOV, Project Charter, WBS, etc.). The second one presents some important soft skills for IT project managers such as stress management, motivation, negotiation, etc.).

Master Course on Advanced Interface – IMM & T-UseInf I am currenty co-teacher with Prof. Didier Rizzotti et Prof. Stefano Carrino. With the omnipresence of computer science in all domains of our daily professional and private life, classical interfaces (keyboard and mouse) granting access to numerical information became insufficient for the needs of nomadic users, who we became. Main objective of the course is to offer a compact view on new paradigms of human-machine interaction, which are based on emerging technologies that exploit all the means of human communication (voice, gestures, emotions, etc.).
